Stamping 411 with Elements of Style

First off I would like to wish everyone a very happy 2011!! I'm back with my card for this weeks Stamping 411 sketch . I love this sketch. I used Elements of Style on this one. I stamped the bird in Brocade Blue craft ink (retired color) and embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder. I stamped the swirly image in crumb cake ink. The DSP is from another new set coming out in the mini on Jan. 4., it's called Botanical Gazette. I embossed the strip of very vanilla CS with my perfect polka dots embossing folder. I added an antique brad to finish it off.

The sentiment on the inside is from a stamp set called "simply said". I hope you like it and take some time this week to give the sketch a try. Thanks for stopping by. I wish everyone a very happy start to the new year!!

In Memory Of....

Good Evening!! Well I have been working on these pages of my Mom and Dad for a while now. I showed you the one of my Dad a long time ago but I changed it a bit and I finished the one of my Mom. All I need to do now is get another Frame and these are going up on my wall.

I used my Stampin' write markers and a water brush on the motorcycle. I used the perfect polka dots embossing folder on night of navy CS and sprayed with smooch spritz. I love this photo of my Dad, it just makes me smile everytime I look at it. This cute little Tilda stamp is called Starlight Tilda. I colored her with my prisma colored pencils, and added some dazzling diamonds to her wings and the star on her wand. I gave her blonde hair to match my moms blonde hair. I think it turned out pretty good. I layered her on a piece of elegant eggplant CS which I embossed with the square lattice embossing folder. The letters on both are cut out using Timeless type alphabet dies on early espresso CS.

Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge 96

Morning everyone, this is a card I finished up last night. I made the for the sweet sunday sketch challenge. You can check out there sketch here . I used the forest friends stamp set. I have seen a few christmas cards with this cute little bambi and thought I would give it a try. This was a nice simple layout. I figured since Bambi was on the front of the card I should put Thumper on the inside. lol. Well I'd better get going to work. Thanks for stopping by:)

stamping 411

Wow, it's been a while since I have had time to participate in the stamping 411 challenge. You can check out the sketch here . I still need to make lots of xmas cards but I wanted to use this adorable stamp from SU's punch potpourri set. I stamped it in black ink on very vinilla CS and colored the flowers with my stampin' write markers. I'm not sure if you can see it but I rubbed some of my stampin pastels around the outside of the heart. I looks cool IRL. I also added some dazzling diamonds to the flowers. I used my texture plate on the marina mist CS. I haven't used my texture plates in forever, I am so addicted to the folders that I forget about the texture plates. I sponged with marina mist ink over the embossed portion to make it stand out a bit. I have enjoyed taking a day just to play with my stamps (I have been doing laundry in between, though). Just one more week and then we are off for christmas break, YEA!!!! On the inside I layered a piece of very vini…

Purse

Good Evening, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break and are all rested up for work. This is just a quick post tonight. This weekend I have been working on this purse. I made this for a christmas gift for a friend of mine. That's about all I have for you tonight. I did however get my desk cleaned up so maybe I will be able to create something soon. I have a busy week ahead of me so I better get ready for it. lol. Thanks for stopping by:)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to wish everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! We are getting ready to leave for our Thanksgiving dinner with family. I am very thankful for my Husband, my children, all of our family. We are very lucky to have a large family with lots of love. This is a card I made for my husbands uncle. Today is his birthday so I thought it would be fun to make him a turkey card. On the inside of it, it says "YOU OLE TURKEY!!!!!!!". I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving with lots of food and love. Thanks for stopping by:)

Ouch

T.G.I.F.--YEA!!!!!! I love Fridays! I made this card for a friend of mine at work. She Plays Ice Hockey and had a little accident the other night. I thought it would be fun to make her a get well card with this build-a-bear die. She hit her head so I used some ribbon to wrap up the head and I made the eyes look like she is dizzy. If you look closely at the feet you can see that I made some ice skates for her and in her hand is a hockey stick. Well I hope you get some time to stamp this weekend. Thanks for stoppin by:)

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello, I can't believe I'm not in bed. lol. This is a thanksgiving card I made. The image on the front is stamped on vellum CS. I colored the back of the leaf with my markers. I wanted it to have a few fall colors in it so I colored with more mustard, pumpkin pie, and cajun craze and blended with my aqua pen. Love how this turned out. On the inside I made a space for a gift card. I hope you like what you see and I think I had better get my butt to bed. Thanks for stoppin by.

Brrrrrrr

This is a card I made just for the fun of it. I had this cute little penguin image which I colored with my prisma colored pencils and some glaze pens. I punched it out using my 1 3/4" circle punch and sponged around it with Baja Breeze ink. I then layered it on a 2 3/8" scalloped circle and applied clear jems around the scallops. The BG paper is called Candy Cane Christmas and has glitter on the circles (Beautiful paper). I had a lot of fun making this card. Hope you like it. Thanks for stoppin by:)

Mojo Monday

Good Morning all!! YEA, it's Friday! This is a card I made for a friend of mine for her birthday. I used the mojo Monday sketch for this. The stamp set I used is called Happiness Shared. I used my scallop border punch and scallop corner punch to create the BG for the Image. You can check out the sketch here http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/. I hope you have an excellent weekend, thanks for stopping by.

OMG!!!! Happy Halloween

Take a look at these cute little candy boxes we made for my kid's to take to school. These turned out soooooo cute. I worked on these until midnight, but it was soooo worth it to see the kids so excited to take them to their class and show everyone what we made. One of my co-workers came over and helped out for a few hours (thank you so much Janice) and the kids helped until about 9:00. My son punched out all the bats and filled the boxes with candy while my daughter drew all the eyes on the bats and sprayed the boxes with the alcohol and shimmer paint mixture. I used the Fancy favor box die to cut out the boxes and I then embossed them with the spider web embossing folder. They were then sprayed with my shimmer paint mixture and the handles were made with a piece of CS 1" x12" and attached with brads. Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by:))

snowman

Hi all!! Well I have been playing with bleaching again. The snowman is from the jolly old saint nick Stamp Set. I used the same method as my previous card with the bleach and re-inkers to color the snowman. On the background paper I brayered Baja Breeze ink on the Northern Flurry embossing folder and ran it through the big shot on a piece of whisper white CS. Love this it really makes those snowflakes stand out. I sponged some frost white shimmer paint over the snowflakes, love the way they turned out. I again used the stamping 411 sketch but instead of a square shape I used an oval. Check them out here . This card also looks great with out the image. Hope you have a great week:)

Check them out here . On this card I used the santa from the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set. I stamped him on crumb cake CS. For the white parts I used bleach in one of my water pens. The rest I painted with re-inkers some water and a paint brush. I embossed his boots with clear embossing powder to make them shinny so they look like real boots. The snowflake is a die called snowflakes set #2, it comes with 4 different snowflakes. I added dazzling diamonds to make it sparkle. The DSP is called deck the halls. I sprayed the DSP with my alcohol and shimmer paint mixture and I also added some rhinestone jewels.

Here is a picture of the inside. The snowflakes are from the serene snowflakes set and the sentiment is embossed with chocolate chip ink and clear embossing powder. I hope you like what you see. Th…

Acetate box

Well I was suppose to go to a downline meeting tonight but life gets in the way sometimes, so I didn't make it. We were going to exchange small gifts. This is what I had made for that. It is an acetate box to hold something small, like CANDY!!!! I didn't have any clear acetate so the sheets I used are retired but that was all I had. The CS is Cajun craze and the DSP is Autumn spice. The stamp set is called batty for you, which I colored with my markers directly on the stamp and then stamped on Whisper white CS. I layered it on a piece of cajun craze punched with the scallop circle. I added a little dazzling diamonds for a little sparkle. This was way fun to make and makes a cute gift. Thanks for stopping by:)

Monogram cards

Well here it is almost 12:30 and I can't sleep so I thought I would post this monogram cards I made for my kids. They are going to camp tomorrow for 4 days. I used their favorite colors. I don't have my catalog with me so I'm not sure what the name of the Alphabet stamp set is called. It's the new set in the big catalog. The sentiment is from the apple blossom stamp set, which is a hostess set. On the inside I used the new owl punch to create this cute little owl. I thought the kids would get a kick out of that "owl miss you". So, what do you think? I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday, Thanks for stoppin by:)

Butterfly Prints/& update on my cousin

This card I made for my Aunt. I started with the stamping 411 sketch but I think I might be a little to late to enter it. I flipped the sketch on its side. It's not exact but the ideas there. Almost everything on this card is new stuff. The butterflys are from the butterfly prints set (I added dazzling diamonds to the butterflys) The background is from the new confetti stamp set (Love it). I used the new color coach for the colors on this card. I started with the butterfly stamped in Tangerine tango so I used the colors suggested for that color. They were Tangerine tango/cajun craze, so saffron, and pacific point. I added a neutral of crumb cake. The so saffron strip on the side is punched using the dotted scallooped ribbon border punch and the added bling is the new rhinestone jewels. I love how this turned out, what do you think?I also wanted to give an update on my cousin. He was accepted into the craig rehab center in Denver. He will go there in about a week. I guess this is …

Bear Tie/ Prayer request

Sorry, I forgot to mention my cousins name is Justin.

Well I wanted to give an update on my cousin. He was working for a tree trimming company and had a log dropped on him. He is in pretty bad shape. He has 7 fractures in his spine and 1 in his neck and shoulder. He also fractured his skull and has some brussing and bleading on the brain. It sounds like it's going to be a long road ahead of him. We are not sure how much damage has been done at this point. I am asking for your prayers for him and my family. I thank you very much for your prayers.

This is a picture of my sons teddy bear. He wanted a tie for him so we used some of the 1 1/4 stripped grosgrain ribbon and a courdory brad.

Purse/and a Prayer

This is a purse I have been working on for a while. It's for my Aunt. This purse has one big pocket on the inside and 3 little pockets on the other side. I hope she likes it. I know it has been a while since I have posted anything. It's not a card but it's something.

On another note I would like to ask for your prayers for my family. My Grandpa has been very sick and is now in the Hospice center and today my cousin was hurt at work and is in the ICU at our hospital. Thank you.

Good morning, this is a card I made at France's house this weekend. Check out her blog here Love this card France. I just wanted to show what did to it. I was wondering what would happen if I sanded the embossed parts of the card. It really made the embossing stand out. I also used some of the new smooch pearlized top coat on all the embossed portions, and I used the gold smooch on the little square. Hope you like it. Well I'm off to grandpa's. Thanks for stoppin by:)

Here is a close-up. Hopefully you can see the glitter from the smooch. It's hard to see on the photo but in person it is glittery.

Stamping 411

I'm back. I made most of this card last night around midnight and finished it up this morning. The stamp set I used on this one is a new hostess set in 2010/2011 SU catalog. It's called Apple blossoms. On the leafy stamp I stamped in Always artichoke and then sponged Frost white shimmer paint on the stamp before I stamped it. (maybe you can see the shimmer in it) Well thanks for stopping by. Have a great day:)

Tractor Punch Art

I saw this tractor made with punches somewhere and thought it would make a cute fathers day card for my husbands uncle. I used several different punches for the tractor. for the wheels I used the 1 1/4 inch circle punch, 1 inch circle punch, scalloped circle punch (punched twice), and the trio flower punch. The body is the large tag punch, the seat is hearts punch, the smoke stack is the word window punch, the steering colum is hand cut, the smoke is also from the flower punch. I used my ink pads and sponges to create the background and hand drew the fence. Thats it for today. Thanks for stoppin by:)

Elements of Style

This card I made just for the fun of it. I have been dying to use this stamp set. If you know me you know I love to color. I used my ink pads and a blender pen to color this image. The flowers are colored with pretty in pink and cherry cobbler and the leafs are so saffron and old olive. I love the new colors. The card base is early espresso. The bird is stamped in early espresso and then sprayed with the vanilla smooch spritz. Here is a close up of the flowers. Thanks for stoppin by, have a good day:)
